Job description:
Our amazing, mission-based organization is looking for a FUN Swim staff to work onsite at our pool. Our teachers have the opportunity to change someone’s life!
MUST BE 18 AND HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE OR EQUIVALENT

Successful candidates will be RELIABLE, NURTURING, ENERGETIC and love to have FUN.
Main responsibilities include:
- Teach swim lessons following the British Swim School curriculum and teaching methods.
- Ensure the safety of all students during lessons.
- Create a positive, fun, and supportive learning environment.
- Build relationships with students and communicate effectively with parents and guardians.
- Track student progress and encourage advancement through skill levels.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pool environment.
- Attend required training sessions and staff meetings.
Physical Requirements
- Remain in the pool for the majority or entirety of each shift.
- Lift and support young children in the water.
- Work in a warm, humid, indoor pool environment.
- Ability to bend, kneel, stand, and move throughout lessons.
Experience working with children and a love of swimming is a plus, but no experience is required!
LOCAL CANDIDATES PREFERRED: Candidates located in or around Vallejo.

While we teach swimming to people of all ages and abilities, most of our students are preschool and elementary-aged kids. Our instructors should like working with this age group and be good at making parents feel comfortable. It's helpful if you have experience with children or in a child-focused job, but it's not required if you can show the right attitude. The job comes with specialized training in our advanced and unique British Swim School approach.
We also have exciting opportunities with our Customer Service Team, even if you're not in the pool. These are the people committed to providing the best service in the industry. In these roles, you might talk to parents on the phone or by the pool. Wherever you are, the aim is to make everyone feel like part of the British Swim School Family as we focus on ensuring the “Survival of the Littlest.”
